Modern design methods for both rolling stock and machinery aim to automate processes as much possible. Cab engine driver should run the train, not be involved in its maintenance, maintenance crew is required know advance all failures on a particular cab. But addition standard train operation, there are number of issues that affect safety reliability operational equipment. These include heating low temperatures related consumption fuel energy resources.
